Ch Coppercrest Ahmarani Anneka

The one who started it all. After years of careful research and anticipation, Anneka finally brought the dream of owning a Saluki to life thanks to breeder Carol Comerford. She was the quintessential Saluki in both form and spirit, sparking a lifelong devotion to this ancient breed. Her quality was undeniable, finishing her championship with ease by taking majors under respected breeder-judges.

Ch. Enchanted Catch A Star Allihan

I had long admired many of the dogs in the pedigree of this planned breeding, which led me to contact her breeder, Dottie Grant. Because Dottie didn’t know me at first, she was quite reluctant to place a puppy with me. It turned out to be a long process involving hours of conversation, sharing photos and videos of my home, and receiving a kind word from the sire’s owner, Elena Edwards. Thankfully, Dottie finally agreed that I would be a good home for her.

Teddi was a joy in every way. She finished her championship easily, picking up some significant wins along the way, but her success in the ring was only part of the story. Most importantly, she will always hold a very big part of my heart.

MBIS MBISS GCHS Takara The Time Is Now

I was personally involved in helping my friend Pam find Ali’s dam, so when she and John decided to breed her, I was naturally eager to see the puppies. I quickly fell in love with Ali’s smooth body and presence, I ended up asking Pam if I could co-own her.

The rest is history! Ali had a wonderfully successful career, and through her campaign we like to think she helped open many judges’ eyes and minds to the beauty of smooth Salukis.

Ch. Shiraz Invincible Dream

My journey with Max began through a long-held admiration for the Baghdad line, a connection that started with my very first Saluki out of an Afking-Baghdad bitch. Having followed Globetrotter’s career with great interest, I was thrilled to acquire a puppy when Elena Edwards, Mike, and Valerie bred their lovely Sedona to him.

Max was a stunning example of the breed, earning notable wins at both Specialties and Hound Shows. Although he was a sizeable boy, he remained as fast and agile as any Saluki I’ve ever owned. Above all, Max truly loved the wind and freedom he found while running.
